The Center for the Study of Crime, Law & Society

Established jointly in 1998 by the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Haifa, the Center for the Study of Crime, Law and Society provides a platform for interdisciplinary research integrating different fields such as criminology, sociology, anthropology, economics, psychology and law and seeks to provide a broad and accurate a picture of the study of law and crime in Israel. Our main focus is on studying the operation of the legal system, the functioning of the criminal justice system and the development of crime and delinquency in Israel.

 

The center brings together researchers from various disciplines and different academic institutes in Israel and abroad in conferences and workshops, and coordinates many academic studies on crime, law and society.
